Michael W. Howard

Controller

Derek joined the company as the controller in July of 2019.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000 with a degree in accounting.  Prior to joining Howard, Derek was the controller and corporate treasurer for a roofing contractor and manufacturer of daylighting systems and custom facades.  He also spent over 10 years in public accounting where he was a Senior Manager for a regional firm with a focus in serving closely held businesses in the construction and manufacturing industries.
 
Derek lives in Jefferson Hills with his wife, two children and their golden retriever.  They enjoy multiple trips to Deep Creek during the year and summer vacations in the Outer Banks.
